Charred Brussel Sprouts


500 g Brussel Sprouts

2 tbsp Butter (Aldhurst Farm's butter is lovely and salty)


Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees celsius.  Clean the outer leaves of the brussel sprouts.  Cut in half. In a large frying pan melt the butter and add the brussel sprouts cut side down.  Fry for 10 minutes or until the cut side brussel sprouts look charred.  Transfer to a roasting pan and cook in the oven for a further 10 or 15 minutes.

Serve as a side to any of your winter dishes, we enjoy ours especially with a roast or a pie and mash.
